- 12 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 to 4 frozen hash brown patties
Method
- Check the package for air fryer instructions and use them if provided.
- Preheat to 400°F if recommended by the appliance manual.
- Place frozen patties flat in one layer with space between them. Do not stack.
- Cook for 5 minutes, turn, then cook for another 3 to 7 minutes.
- Remove when the center is hot and the exterior is crisp and evenly browned.
Useful adjustments
- Most commercially frozen patties already contain oil; extra oil is usually unnecessary.
- Start checking at 8 minutes because thin patties and compact air fryers may cook faster.
- For deeper browning, add time in 1- to 2-minute increments instead of raising the temperature.
- Cook a crowded package in batches so the broad faces remain exposed to airflow.
