Ninja AF141

Ninja AF141

Choose the AF141 if your usual portion fits a 5-quart basket and you mainly air fry or reheat. Extra modes alone are a weak reason to upgrade if you normally set time and temperature yourself.

Ninja AF181

Ninja AF181

Consider the AF181 if a 5-quart basket regularly forces you into a second batch, or you specifically want its Max Crisp setting. Check usable basket dimensions: nominal volume does not tell you how many pieces fit in one layer.

Specifications at a glance

Nominal basket volume is not measured cooking area. Rated power is not energy consumed per meal. Check the exact model and regional version before buying.

Is the extra capacity useful?

The AF181 lists 1.5 quarts more volume. That is a 30% increase on paper, not a promise of 30% more food in a single layer. For breaded fillets or toast, basket floor area matters more than height. For your next purchase, measure the food or dish you actually cook.

Does 450°F make it better?

A higher ceiling gives you another option for surface browning; it does not mean every recipe should run hotter. Thin pieces can brown before thicker centers finish cooking. Start with the model’s instructions and check the food rather than transferring a setting unchanged.

Before choosing

Measure your counter and allow the ventilation clearance specified in the manual, plus room to pull out the drawer. Compare the current price, included accessories and return policy for the exact model. We have not measured cooking speed, noise or browning for these models, so we do not award a performance winner.
